BRUSSELS TAXIS VERTS
October 16, 2010

I ordered a taxis verts, on Oct.7, 3.30 a.m, to the far airport from the centre. The taxi driver took 120 EUR, no ticket, of course, and left me at a closed terminal, five km away from the real airport. I was SHOCKED. Brussels, the heart of Europe. Be very careful!

P.S. After several  emails to a newspaper I have received some news from the taxi company. There is some hope for compensation. Mass media are powerful indeed. 🙂

END OF PIER

END OF PIER

The end of pier:
That’s all, my dear.
That’s the end, my boy,
I won’t be your toy!
The air seems sweet,
The benches stand neat,
The world’s full of grace,
Away from daily race.
I love to be free
Like the very blue sea!
To be away from the town
That presses me down.
I love to be free
Like the very blue sea!

WAITING FOR TRAIN
October 11, 2010

Oh, travel, to travel:

By plane or train,

Be it sunshine or rain!

I am ready, and you,

And our bags are waiting, too.

For me it isn’t any fashion,

But a deeply rooted passion.

I prefer to go by plane,

But this time it’ll be the train!

Oh, travel, to travel:

By plane or train,

Be it sunshine or rain!

Karelian cakes in Brussels. Delicious!
October 8, 2010

I was in Brussels some days ago. The flight was OK, but the taxi drivers can be criminal there. I had to leave in the small hours, therefore ordered a taxi. It arrived in time, took 120 EUR and threw me out by a closed terminal. Luckily, Deus ex machina happened, and a nice man brought me to the active terminal, five kilometres away. It was so dark there….

I met a nice Finnish lady in Brussels, and enjoyed her wonderful Karelian cakes. Try and enjoy!

P.S. Taxis vert is the name of that taxi company!

SNOW
October 4, 2010

Winter boasts with charming glow

And, of course, some snow..

Days bleach ghastly,

Nights rule nastly.

Little trees dream about  spring

When the  birds will  start to sing.
